A lantern-lit lane of wooden houses in Kyoto with a pagoda at the end

About

About Aurelle Gion

Tatami rooms, a cedar bath fed by spring water, and a kaiseki dinner served in your room.

Aurelle Gion · The Hotel

The inn

Three townhouses and a garden

The houses were built in the 1920s for tea merchants. We joined them around the garden in 2019 and kept the timber frames, the paper screens and the stone lanterns.
